Mornington Botanical Rose Garden

Well set out garden beds

At the weekend we again visited the Mornington Botanical Rose Garden at the Civic Reserve, Dunns Rd, Mornington and I have to say the roses were looking spectacular. The garden was started about eleven years ago and are set on 4 acres of public land and the has 250 different  varieties and over 4000 bushes. The garden is lovingly looked after by an army  volunteers, who spend their spare time fertilising, spraying, weeding and dead-heading and caring for the roses. And what a wonderful job they do in maintaining the garden, it was just stunning. We will visit again!!
