It is a shame to see some of our rail trestle bridges fall into dis-repair, their gentle decline due to neglect and a lack of maintenance since the closer of the rail lines. I would have thought that they are of great historic importance to the state. We visited two more this week on the outskirts of Meeniyan, the Tarwin River West Trestle Bridges 1 and 2 are no longer open to the public because of their condition is considered to be unsafe.
