Yering Station Winery

A visit last weekend to Yering Station Winery 38 Melba Hwy Yarra Glen established in 1838, was not a disappointment. There was so much to see, while strolling around the property. The stunning architecture, the wine bar restaurant, Yering Station Museum, cellar door, Mat's bar, art gallery, farmer markets and wonderful views of the Yarra Valley. Well worth a visit.

Domaine Chandon Winery

We spent the day exploring the beautiful and picturesque Yarra Valley our second visit in recent weeks. We decided that today we would visit some of the wineries in in the Yarra Valley area, First on out list was Domaine Chandon, which can be found on the Maroondah Highway between Coldstream and Healesville. We found the cellar door to busy with tourists to try the wine, so we got busy with our cameras instead. We were not disappointed with the photo opportunities Domaine Chandon provided, a truely beautiful place to spend the afternoon.

Rainbow Lorikeet

I had some unexpected visitors in my garden yesterday, sitting in my apple tree having a lovely feed on the apples. I was lucky that they didn't seem overly worried by my presence and I was able to take their photo. These parrots have such strong and vibrant colours.
