Morton's Old Hotel

What stories these walls could tell

The "Welcome Inn" Morton's Old Hotel was built by convict Micheal Morton in 1850 and is said to  replicate the home he left in Ireland. Hard to believe this building not only housed Micheal's family of eight, as well as being a provisioning store and a public bar for the miners. How did his children ever get any sleep.... This building can still be found hidden away in the bush.
